Do all dogs in the Northern Hemisphere act a little crazy in January? Our first lab — Elsa — used to disappear from the yard on the coldest January days. Once, a neighbor drove up the drive and read me the riot act. Elsa had been raiding her garbage bins. I couldn’t blame her for being mad!
